Food Safety Guidelines

Follow these guidelines to ensure the food you share is safe for consumption.

Safe to Share

  • Fresh fruits and vegetables
  • Packaged foods with clear expiration dates
  • Dry goods and pantry items
  • Properly stored frozen foods
  • Commercially prepared foods in sealed containers

Never Share

  • Raw meat, poultry, or seafood
  • Homemade items requiring refrigeration
  • Expired or spoiled food
  • Alcohol or tobacco products
  • Food that has been recalled

Temperature Guidelines

Hot Foods:Above 140°F (60°C)
Cold Foods:Below 40°F (4°C)
Danger Zone:40°F - 140°F (4°C - 60°C)

Food should not be in the danger zone for more than 2 hours total.
